While on our sixth wedding anniversary trip to Puerto Rico, we made it to the northeastern part of the island for an adventure in the El Yunque National Forest. The sub tropical mountainous rainforest was filled with lush greenery and an incredible variety of wildlife. We took a lovely hike through trails that led us to stunning waterfalls and lagoons. We jumped off of rocks and swung off of ropes into cool and refreshing water before continuing our hike along the riverside. The energy that surrounded us during our trip to the El Yunque National Forest was magical. We felt like we were on a different planet. So much life burst from every angle. We recommend anyone taking a trip to Puerto Rico, make their way to the rainforest and spend a day in one of the prettiest locations on the island.
