Since we’ve said goodbye to most dairy products, we’ve learned about alternatives, like almond milk. When most people think of almond milk though, they may think of the kind seen at the grocery with added flavors and preservatives. Our new favorite quick recipe literally turns raw almonds into a suitable vegan substitute for dairy milk. It’s fast, delicious and will make your body go nuts (in a good way).

Strawberry Almond Milk Recipe | The Lills Food | Alex and Lara Lill

Strawberry Almond Milk Recipe:
  • Blend 1/2 cup of raw almonds with 1/2 cup of water (3/4 cup of water for thinner milk), until smooth
  • Strain nut milk through a “nut bag”, cheesecloth or metal sieve (keep the clumpy nut mix for our date rolls recipe)
  • Blend the strained nut milk with 4 strawberries
  • Use as a milk substitute with a nutty granola and honey or fresh fruit for a delicious healthy cereal

Strawberry Almond Milk Ingredients:

  • 4 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup of water

Cereal Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of granola
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit
  • Honey
