RELAX WITH PALO SANTO

by | 2017 | Inspiration, The Lills

Palo Santo is a type of tree that is part of the citrus family, grows in South America and is known for its healing and cleansing properties. Supposedly, Incas used it to ward off negative energies. In Spanish, Santo Palo literally translates into “Holy Wood”. By burning the wood, it creates an incredible smoke that clears energy in a room, relaxes the body, raises our vibration and keeps mosquitos away. It can be even used to relieve symptoms from a cold, depression, inflammation and even fights cancer.

The Lills | Palo Santo Wood Cleansing

In Ecuador and other regions, it is illegal to cut down a Santo Palo tree because they are protected. There are only a few companies allowed to produce it commercially, so be sure you’re getting it from a trusted source.

We enjoy burning a stick of Palo Santo for about a minute until we put it out. Before meditation, it really helps us get relaxed and connected. It literally changes the energy inside any room. We even burn it in our VW Bus, as it gives it that naturally sweet and earthy musk. Thanks to our Argentinian friend for showing us the magic of Palo Santo! We hope more people find out about this incredible wood!
