It’s amazing how many bad ingredients can be found in cereal bars, energy bars and granola bars. Rather than buying pre-made and packaged bars, we decided to start making them on our own, from scratch. This way, we know what they are made of and how they are handled. Plus, they are full of nutrients and they taste so much better than anything we have purchased in the past. See our Nutty Banana Berry Oat Bar Recipe below!

Nutty Banana Berry Oat Bar Recipe | Homemade Granola Bars | The Lills

Nutty Banana Berry Oat Bars Recipe:
  • Mix the dry oats, seeds, nuts and pre-rinsed quinoa together
  • Mash bananas until creamy using a whisk or blender
  • Add salt and molasses to the banana mash
  • Mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture evenly
  • Grease a 9x13 pan with unrefined coconut oil
  • Press mixture into the pan
  • Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until bar is firm and the edges are lightly browned
  • Let cool completely and cut into 9 bars

Nutty Banana Berry Oat Bar Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup organic rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup organic raw shelled sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup organic raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup organic raw walnuts
  • 1/4 cup organic quinoa, pre-rinsed
  • 2 tbs. fresh raspberries, roughly cut
  • 2 tbs. fresh blackberries, roughly cut
  • 2 large organic bananas, blended or mashed well
  • 1 tsp. organic unsulphured molasses
  • 1/2 tsp. fine ground sea salt
  • 1 tbs. unrefined coconut oil
