There are two main varieties of papaya (Hawaiian and Mexican). They are bright, refreshing, full of Vitamin C, improves digestion and relieves menstrual pain. Papayas were supposedly called “fruit of the angels” by Christopher Columbus. We enjoy papaya in place of sugary snacks and love to freeze the papaya meat in the Summer.
