CRANBERRY STRAWBERRY PIE TREAT DAY RECIPE

Treat days mean we get to enjoy treat day recipes, like this cranberry strawberry pie. It smells incredible and it tastes fabulous; a simple gourmet treat! The strawberries calm down the tart from the cranberries and the combination is sensational. We just love making it during the winter season. Enjoy our Cranberry Strawberry Pie Recipe below!

Cranberry Strawberry Pie Recipe - The Lills

Pie Crust Recipe:
  • Mix dry ingredients in a food processor
  • Add cold butter and mix until crumbly
  • Add cold water one tablespoon at a time until the dough gathers
  • Roll into a ball and flatten into a disc
  • Wrap in plastic and chill in fridge for an hour
  • Roll out dough thinly
  • Flour and line pie pan with dough, crimping around the edges

Cranberry Strawberry Pie Filling Recipe:

  • Boil 1 cup of water with 1 cup of sugar on medium-high heat
  • Once boiling, add 1 1/2 cups cranberries
  • Lightly boil until thick and syrupy
  • Take off the heat
  • Add 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries, strawberries, lemon juice, flour and 1/4 cup sugar
  • Mix together
  • Pour mixture into the pie dough and bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes or until browning
  • Bring temperature down to 350 and bake for 20 minutes
  • Let cool for 15 minutes
  • Slice and serve warm

Pie Crust Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup almond flour or unbleached flour
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 10 tablespoons cold butter
  • 4 tablespoons ice cold water

Cranberry Strawberry Filling Ingredients:

  • 3 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon of almond flour or unbleached flour
