BANANA PANCAKES RECIPE WITH FLAXSEED EGG REPLACEMENT
One morning, we got a pang for pancakes and created an incredible treat that calls for only 3 ingredients (flax seed, water and bananas)! This means delicious Banana Pancakes with Flaxseed Egg Replacement with no eggs, no flour, no milk and the list goes on.
We used a yummy flaxseed egg recipe for our banana pancakes, made from ground flax seed and water. 5 minutes together and they created an ooey gooey, flaxseed egg replacement, perfect for cooking. Flax seeds and flaxseed oil are high in fiber and omega-3.
It’s amazing: This simple flaxseed egg substitute recipe, mixed with blended bananas makes a perfect batter for our inspired pancakes. We prefer coconut oil over butter for cooking, which adds a really lovely flavor to the pancakes. When plating, we’ve found shaved coconut and a little drizzle of pecan syrup makes this treat picture perfect. Enjoy the recipe below!
- Finely grind raw organic flax seeds
- Mix with pure water and let thicken for 5 minutes
- In the meantime, blend organic bananas until smooth
- Add in the flaxseed egg replacer and mix
- Heat and grease a pan lightly with coconut oil
- Pour 1 tablespoon of mixture thinly onto the pan
- Lightly lift pancakes from the edge to check, flip when ready
- Repeat until out of pancake mix
- Add toppings like coconut flakes, fresh fruit or syrup
Flax Seed + Banana Pancake Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon raw organic flax seeds
- 2.5 tablespoons pure water
- 3 organic bananas
- Coconut oil to grease pan
- A coffee grinder or blender
